The situation is normalizing and both email access and email delivery should be normalizing as well. The cause of the problems appears to partially have been a substantial influx of spam that resulted in delays in spam scanning and subsequently email delivery.

Investigations indicate that a exacerbating cause is brute force attacks from a large number of IP addresses. We are implementing measures that are successfully countering these attacks to further improve the response and delivery times of our services.
